Ongoing & Upcoming EFS Events

First Wednesday Song Circle

The next EFS Song Circle will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at the home of Tim and Barbara Jenkins, in Creswell. If you have never been to the song circle at their sweet home in the country, you are in for a real treat. Tim plays a beautiful guitar, and is a balladeer of traditional songs of the U.S. and the British Isles. Come add your voice or stringed instrument to an evening of music, after supper, with some very nice folks.

We sing from the Rise Up Singing book, so bring one if you have one. If you have a song to share that's not in the book, please bring 12-20 copies of the words and chords.

Directions to Tim's: Take the Creswell exit (#182) off Interstate 5. Go east on Cloverdale Road, cross the Coast Fork of the Willamette River. The second right after crossing the river is Bear Creek Road (about 2 miles from Creswell). Go east for just less than 2 miles. The Jenkins' place is a gray house on the right just after you cross Bear Creek and before a big hill. The address is 82302 Bear Creek Road. Tim's phone number is 541-895-2083, though if you are within about a mile of his place, there is pretty much no cell phone coverage. (Ah, nice and peaceful!)

We always welcome anyone who brings a stringed instrument such as a guitar, banjo, mandolin, to provide gentle chordal context and rhythm.

Not a performance and no worries or inhibitions with this group! Just a bunch of nice and jolly folks who like to laugh, and who like to sing songs in the evening after supper. You may bring a snack to share, but okay if not. We always have plenty.

For more info, call Carol at 541-556-8241.
