Jaige Trudel and Adam Broome have been playing music together as Maivish since 2001 for dances, festivals and concerts throughout North America and abroad. Fiddler Jaige grew up in rural Vermont in amidst a musical family. Adam hails from The Cotswolds in England, and developed his own guitar technique which was influenced by traditional English folk song and dance. Their sound is mercurial, enchanting, powerful and uplifting. Joining them for a double fiddle effect is Cedar Stanistreet who has performed with a variety of folk musicians, and toured nationally with the contra dance bands Noreaster and Cardinal Direction.
George's specialty is smooth concise teaching and his treasure trove of great New England-style contra dances. He is renowned for his knack of matching music to dance.
