Contra Dance: Breakers Yard with Woody Lane calling - February 8 2020

Breakers Yard is the Willamette Valley’s most eclectic acoustic band. Sampling from ragtime, country blues, jug band, hot jazz, and delta blues traditions, they do everything from Lindy Hop dances to cowboy ballads to bootie-shakin’ dance parties. You can find their most recent albums I Don’t Hurt Anymore and Tried and Untrue at shows and digitally on CD Baby, or you can pay them a visit at www.breakersyardmusic.com. Break it down!

Woody Lane:  A caller for more than 25 years, Woody Lane from Roseburg is known for his smooth contras, fast squares, and superb programming. His teaching style is clear and concise. Also an accomplished clogger, he often accompanies the band as a foot percussionist, raising the energy level on the dance floor to wonderful heights. Woody has brought his exciting brand of calling to dances from Alaska to Boston to Florida, and he has a growing reputation throughout the country.
