Sep 14 - Cascade Crossing w/ William Watson

Cascade Crossing is one of the most sought-after contra dance bands in the Pacific Northwest. With Lori Prime on fiddle, mandolin and banjo; Sarah Goss on oboe, whistles, and bass; Carl Thor on piano, hammered dulcimer, and mandolin; and Rich Goss on guitar and percussion, Cascade Crossing is known for high energy music, an exciting variety of instrumentation, and intensely creative arrangements.

William Watson, a resident of Portland, OR, danced his first contra in 1989 and began calling in Texas in 1992. William’s extensive experience and soothing voice project a calm confidence. His vigilant and thoughtful dance programming ensures a variety of figures, transitions, and sequences to entertain and support new dancers while offering the occasional challenge for the more advanced.

Join us at the Village School Gym, 3411 Willamette St, Eugene. Teaching session at 7 pm, Dance begins at 7:30.

Morris is a vigorous ensemble dance done with clashing sticks and ringing bells! It's long been performed in the villages of the English countryside. We invite you to join our Two Rivers Morris team. We practice Thursday evenings 6:15. For more info email 2riversmorris@gmail.com .
